Barnaby The Persnickety Bear Knitting Pattern By Rebecca Danger- A Charming Bear In Three Sizes

$6.00

*****This listing is for the pattern only! All pictures shown are created using this pattern, not the actual item for sale*****

Meet Barnaby the Persnickety Bear! This is the first knitting pattern I have released in 7 years and I couldn't be more pleased with how adorable he came out. There is just something about him that somehow so much personality comes through a knitted creature, I just love it! He would make a wonderful gift and companion for anyone in your life and is sure to bring a smile to every face.

This knitting pattern from Danger Crafts will show you how to knit Barnaby in three sizes using any yarn weight you like — the smaller the yarn, the tinier the bear! Knit him in sock weight for a miniature-sized companion, worsted weight for a small teddy, or bulky for a wonderfully larger version. One pattern, endless possibilities.

More Info:

Skill Level: Intermediate (I would recommend this pattern for beginning knitters that are comfortable knitting in the round or who want a bit of a challenge. I have rated it "intermediate" because according to the Craft Council skill level guidelines, anything knitted in the round is intermediate.)

Skills used: Basic knit and purl stitches, increases, decreases, knitting in the round, holding stitches and coming back to them later, Magic Loop Method, and basic sewing skills.

This pattern is written using Magic Loop Method for knitting in the round. See my Frequent Questions page for more info on dpn's vs Magic Loop: http://rebeccadanger.typepad.com/rebecca_danger/frequent-questions.html

Pattern Format: Instant download .pdf file

Yarn: 90-120 yards of yarn to knit all three bears

Gauge: No need to check gauge! Just make sure your finished fabric is tight enough that the stuffing once show through.

Needles: 40” circular needle (for Magic Loop Method) and an additional circular or 2 dpn’s (for holding live leg sts) in a size about 2-3 smaller than those recommended for your yarn (example: yarn says US size 8, use a size 6, or even 5 instead). See the last page of the pattern for samples using different needle and yarn combinations.

Notions: Scissors, tapestry needle, beginning of the round stitch marker (removable or closed), optional row counter, 6 or more removable stitch markers, stuffing, and three sets of safety eyes (or other eye choice such as buttons or scrap yarn for embroidery).

This 8 page pattern is very clearly written, and I have multiple YouTube tutorials available on my channel for this specific pattern (just search Rebecca Danger on YouTube). Plus, there is lots of fun stuff in the pattern, like a little story about Barnaby and tons of great finished bear pictures.

Talk about instant gratification, you can get started knitting this pattern right away! This is an INSTANT DOWNLOAD! You will receive this pattern through the Squarespace instant download system.

Four sample sets of bears with material lists to create them are included in this pattern. Sample bears range in size from 2" tall for the smallest to 9.5" tall for the largest bear.

Barnaby is also available as a sewing pattern! See the last photo to sew sewn and knitted side by side and check out my shop for the sewing pattern!

Selling patterns provides income for my family. I know it is easy to share patterns, but please ask your friends to purchase the pattern from me.
