Who can resist a monster? Maybe it's the crooked teeth, the smiling personality, or the general wonkiness they bring to stuff toys, but monsters are one of my favorite things around.

This sewing pattern from Danger Crafts will show you how to make this darling monster, in three different sizes! These monsters are a fast, super satisfying project that sew up easily with many different fabrics. Since it only takes a fat quarter to 5/8 of a yard of fabric, this is a great stash busting project for all those times you've bought just a yard or two of fabric because it was pretty.

Modern toys are scary! Not only does this pattern give you a chance to give your kids lead and chemical free toys, but making your own toys lets you decide exactly what your little angels are putting in their mouths and sleeping next to at night. The great simple design of this monster makes him a perfect companion for babies and toddlers, especially since he is extremely washable for all those foreign spots that seem to attack kids' toys. The more drool-proof the better!
