Hiiiiiii-yah! Meet Yuki, a Cookie Ninja! This charming little fellow has trained for years in the art of Cookjutsu. When he is around, cookies will mysteriously disappear, even when under lock and key, or when you are staring directly at the cookie. Ninjas are the best! My kiddos love ninjas, and especially love Cookie Ninjas, since they do occasionally share the cookies they sneak. Yuki is sure to become a best buddy for the small people in your life.
This sewing pattern from Danger Crafts will show you how to make this two different sizes of adorable Cookie Ninjas! These ninjas are a fast, super satisfying project that sews up easily with many different fabrics. I picked quilting cotton and fleece for my samples to give you some ideas! Since it only takes a small amount of fabric, this is a great stash busting project for all those scraps, or the times you've bought just a yard or two of fabric because it was pretty.
Modern toys are scary! Not only does this pattern give you a chance to give your kids lead and chemical free toys, but making your own toys lets you decide exactly what your little angels are putting in their mouths and sleeping next to at night. The great simple design of this ninja makes him a perfect companion for babies and toddlers, especially since I made all of my samples with sewn or painted on eyes. Yuki is also washable for all those foreign spots that seem to attack kids' toys, or for kiddos with severe allergies like my two boys. We have had wonderful luck washing all of my handmade toys, and this ninja is no exception. We wash them over and over and over, and especially with the fleece, they come out looking brand new every time.
